I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Alysse — a nurse, doula, mother, daughter, sister, wife, and friend. Each of these roles has shaped the way I care for others: with intention, empathy, and trust in the strength that already lives within you.
I’ve supported families in many ways — at bedsides, in birth spaces, through transitions, and in quiet moments of doubt and joy. My goal isn’t just to provide support, but to help you feel seen, prepared, and powerfully connected to your own voice and body.
However you choose to birth, however you define support — I’m here for you.
So who am I, really?
I’m someone who believes that birth isn’t just a medical event. As both a nurse and a doula, I bring the best of both worlds: clinical insight and wholehearted presence. My journey into birth work began long before I became a mother myself. Even at the start of nursing school, I felt pulled toward the world of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — a space where science and intuition meet, and where support can make all the difference. As a nurse, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful compassionate and individualized care can be.
Becoming a mom changed everything for me — in ways I expected, and in ways I didn’t. It gave me a new understanding of what it feels like to be vulnerable, strong, and completely changed all at once.
That’s why I started True North Doula. It’s not just a name — it’s a belief that your own instincts, strength, and values can guide you through this season. I’m simply here to walk beside you as you find your way.
Whether you’re planning your first birth, navigating postpartum with your second, or figuring it out as you go — I’m here to support you with honesty, warmth, and care that centers you.
Let’s start wherever you are.
